Two acts: Nancy Bates, and Vetter og villskap – Pay what you want

Saturday June 22nd 2024 Nancy Bates … was considered one of the best singer / songwriters in Australia today by national treasure Archie Roach and is known Australia-wide for her concerts and workshops.  She is a First Nations composer, writer, educator, and proudly Barkindji. With cultural ties to communities running the length of the Baarka, she is river woman living a multifaceted life, intertwining music, education, and advocacy to weaponise and resist colonisation. From 2013 to 2017, Nancy completed a musical apprenticeship under the mentorship of renowned Song Man, Uncle Archie Roach. Three fine acts at The Arts Centre – Feb 2019

  These were the three Adelaide acts that performed at Bridgewater Arts Centre on February 16th. Ziggy, Richard and Elijah Palmer, and Adrienne Lovelock and Peter Day added to the diversity of fine musical talent which Bridgewater Arts Centre has presented since 2017 with the first event being an Oxjam fundraiser.
